Stick Select Options

We have been conducting an experiment since January this year to see if we can provide a better service by giving our customers the option to give a brief description of their ideal stick.

For many years customers have been phoning up with their requirements and we do our best to meet the description they provide. Unfortunately it will never be the same as picking your own stick out by hand yourself, but we would like to try and do the next best thing by picking the right stick for you if we can via the website too.

This is an experiment and we cannot promise you will get the perfect stick and cannot accept returns on this basis, we just want to get as near to your requirements as we can. So rather than you placing an order and getting a lucky dip, we hope to be nearer to your expectations rather than you getting a really thin stick when you want a thicker stick.

Stick options will be categorised into: Medium/Thin/Thick & Average/Light/Heavy.

Please bear in mind that for instance the Basiko sticks are not generally heavy sticks as a rule, so although you may state heavy it may just be the heaviest from that batch and not necessarily heavy, heavy in actual weight if that makes sense, but rather the heaviest available for that style stick. We will however do our best to meet the criteria provided. If you are after sparring sticks or sticks for children then we suggest you ask for light and if you are after average weight training sticks select average. I would call medium thickness approximately 3/4 of an inch.

By all means email with further requests and/or make a suggestion to enhance this system further and once you have received your order we also welcome feedback to see if we have met your requirements satisfactorily.

Stickfighter Magazine

'Stickfighter' The International Kali Eskrima Arnis Magazine has been relaunched.

Stickfighter magazine was first started back in August 1997 and was the very first magazine solely dedicated to the Filipino Martial Arts. Unfortunately publishing stopped and the last issue was back in October 2000.

Unlike the previous printed issues, it has now been released as a free digital web magazine and once again it has the worlds top FMA'ers writing for it's pages.

Check out www.stickfightermagazine.com.
